We have both Journey and Quest on our shelves. They are lovely, wordless picture books, beautifully illustrated, by Aaron Becker Here are some of Big’s comments about the story:

Here she feels disappointed.
Toddlers would like this book, because it hasn’t got any words in it and they could talk about the pictures.
I like the good soldiers and the girl.
The book teaches us about friendship.

Little’s analysis is slightly different: “This story is all about animals eat some boats”. He likes the part when “The balloon goes all the way up to the sky.”

As you can see, Becker’s work is highly considered in our house and works well for toddlers as well as older children.

Have you read any wordless picture books? Which ones are your favourites?
